Aarhus University Presents MOIRAI Developments at Havforsker 2026
MOIRAI was represented at Havforsker 2026 – the Danish Marine Research Conference, hosted by Aarhus University on 20-22 January 2026, where Ange P. Ishimwe from Aarhus University presented a poster titled “Enhancing Marine Modelling Accuracy: Recent Developments in the FLEXSEM System.”
The presentation highlighted recent advances in FLEXSEM, a flexible 3D hydrodynamic and ecological modelling framework applied within MOIRAI to support high-resolution simulations of coastal and open-ocean dynamics. The updates enhance the system’s numerical precision and adaptability, paving the way for more accurate and efficient marine modelling workflows.
Bringing together researchers from across Denmark and beyond, Havforsker 2026 provided an engaging platform for dialogue on marine processes, ecosystem modelling, and the digital tools driving progress in ocean science. MOIRAI’s participation reflects the project’s strong ties with the scientific community and its ongoing commitment to co-developing data and modelling solutions for the sustainable management of Europe’s marine environments.
