MOIRAI at 2nd Global Cleaner Production Conference
The MOIRAI project will participate in the Global Cleaner Production Conference 2026, which will take place in Spain from 26-29 October 2026 (Melia Sitges, Spain) and brings together international experts, researchers, and policymakers working on cleaner production, sustainability assessment, and environmental innovation.
As part of the conference programme, MOIRAI partners from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), Spain, will present their latest research addressing the environmental performance of renewable energy systems, showcasing a novel methodological approach aligned with MOIRAI’s objectives of advancing robust, data-driven sustainability assessment tools.
The presented framework combines Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the eco-efficiency of offshore wind energy systems in a comprehensive and comparable manner. By integrating environmental impacts across the life cycle with efficiency benchmarking techniques, the approach supports more informed decision-making for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and energy planners involved in the deployment of offshore renewable technologies.
Participation in the Global Cleaner Conference 2026 highlights MOIRAI’s active engagement with the international research community and reinforces the project’s commitment to contributing scientifically sound methods for assessing sustainability transitions. The event provides an important platform to exchange knowledge, receive feedback, and strengthen collaborations in the field of cleaner production and sustainable energy systems.
