MOIRAI at SEACLIM Kick Off
MOIRAI coordinators Denis Istrati, PhD, and Prof. Vicky Tsoukala, National Technical University of Athens, School of Civil Engineering, NTUA, joined the SEACLIM consortium, as members of the External Advisory Board, in Toulouse.
The meeting, which took place from 22-24 January 2025 marked the beginning of this 4-year (2025-2028) initiative, funded by the European Union HORIZON programme. SEACLIM aims to forecast the future of our regional seas, marking a strategic expansion from its current forecasting expertise into decadal predictions and long-term climate projections.
SEACLIM involved 13 European partners from 7 countries focusing on:
- Decadal climate prediction.
- Climate change projections.
- Coastal downscaling.
- Ocean climate indicators.
- Climate service demonstrators.
MOIRAI is looking forward to working together in the years ahead.
